Project Description
DCI personnel conducted a co-product development study investigate the potential to develop additional market outlets for the fly ash produced at a power generating facility in Texas. The study consisted of characterizing the co-product and other regionally available materials to develop a high quality soil amendment suitable for use in mine land reclamation projects. Regionally available materials were identified and the study evolved into preliminary design and cost estimating for a facility to be located at a local mine.

Project Description
DCI personnel conducted a marketing study of potential market sectors for municipal compost to be produced at the proposed regional biosolids/yard waste composting facility in McAllen, Texas. The study identified and evaluated potential markets and their volumes, product requirements, and levels of competition. A market value for the compost was estimated and revenues were projected for each of the identified markets.
